TONYMOLY KISS LOVER LIP MASTER

Heyy it's Maria and IT'S BEEN SOOOO LONGG! Sorry I've been MIA because of school.. But ayyeee I'm back now :)
So today I went to the shops and found out that Tony Moly was having a 20-50% off sale on all items! As soon as I walked in I went straight for the lip products 'cause your girl is a TOTAL lip junkie! This certain lip product caught my eyes and it's the Tony Moly Kiss lover Lip Master
Tony Moly launched new colours into their line for the Kiss Lover Lip Master and so I HAD TO CHECK THEM OUT! Not to mention they were AUD15 and because of the sale they became $7.50 (50% off ;) today's literally my lucky day!)
At first I wanted no.5 Everyday Beige (It's such a beautiful mauve colour! I've recently been into neutral lip colours) but guess what? It ran out of stock
TT ^ TT cries
So I went on a quest to find the best neutralized lip colour available and when I found it.... I LITERALLY FELL IN LOVE! I got  no.11 in nude coral! It's such a beautiful colour!
(You will see soon)

First of all, may I say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the packaging? It's just so gorgeous!
And another thing I love about the packaging is that IT'S IN ENGLISH! FINALLY!
This is what it says on the packaging:

This is what the lip tint looks like:

The packaging REALLY reminds me of YSL's Rouge Pur Couture Vernis À Lèvres Glossy Stain. Except Tonymoly's packaging is all black and YSL's is black and gold. But even so, this lip tint still shouts 'classy'. The rectangular-shaped packaging seems sustainable due to the thickness of the plastic case.

The doppler-foot is slightly bent. The concave part of the application brush picks up just the right amount for a full-lip application and the opposite side picks up enough for a gradient lip. It smells SO GOOD! Like nearly all Tonymoly's lip tint, it smells like grape candy! I seriously can't stop smelling it omfg.

Here's the swatch of the colour:

It looks pretty similar with YSL's Rouge Pur Couture Vernis À Lèvres Glossy Stain in Peche cerra-colla when swatched on the hand but when applied on the lips it slightly darkens.

Here's the smudging of the swatch after a minute's wait:

As you can see, it stains pretty quickly which is a good thing.

What the colour looks like on the lips:

The product of this lip tint is very creamy (it's similar to milky type tints but slightly heavier). When applied on the lips it feels very thick however I think that the heat from the body melts the tint into a thinner texture. The tint also feels smooth and velvety on the lips which is a big plus. Also, the colour darkens slightly which increases the tint's opacity.
This tint has the coverage, thickness and coverage of a lipstick and the glossiness of a lipgloss. Because of the glossiness of the lip tint, it moisturises my lips really well and it doesn't accentuate any dry patches. It also doesn't have the stickiness of a lip gloss.
But after an hour the gloss fades away.
I love this tint but the only problems that I have with this product are:
  • When you lick your lips it taste's like soap (all my lip tints don't have a taste except for this and it tastes bitter which is a downside)
  • After eating, the stain is not visible (But i think the darker colours may leave a stain)
Overall I give this tint
★★★☆☆

Because:-
Pros:
  • The colour is SO beautiful! And I give Tonymoly props for launching a nude collection which, in my opinion, is pretty rare for Korean cosmetics to launch because usually their lip tints are bright coloured.
  • The packaging is classy.
  • The packaging seems strong due to the thickness of the plastic.
  • The glossiness of the lip tint gives the allusion of fuller lips and it also looks like cherry-lips, the glossiness of the cherry (I'm not making any sense right now.. Sorry)
  • The product is smooth and velvety.
  • It's very moisturising and doesn't accentuate dry, chapped lips.
Cons:
  • It's pretty expansive ($15) when it's not on sale
  • The taste of the lip tint is similar to the taste of soap
  • It doesn't stain the lips well
Would I recommend?
To be honest, yes I would because although it's pretty expansive for a stain that doesn't stain well, unlike most stains it doesn't dry your lips out and accentuate the dry patches that may be sitting on your lips. I also love the velvet texture of this lip tint.
