It's Catherine here.
I just figured I'd start off by sharing this with you.
So today I got new glasses. Yay!
They're the Ray-Ban Clubmaster 5154 49mm in 2000 with Nikon lenses.
These glasses are made from Acetate, a hypoallergenic plant-based plastic. It's known for being strong, flexible, lightweight, and also has a variety of colours, transparency, and finishes.
The RB 5154 also come in the 51 mm lenses which are more suited to those that might find the 49mm lenses a bit too small for their face. As I have mentioned before, I have the 2000 style which is just the plain black. I believe they had matte black but I didn't see any at my optometrist, otherwise I probably would have gotten those. I have the 49/21 which means that the 49mm is the measurement of the lens and 21mm being the measurement of the bridge.
The fit is comfy and off the face. My previous glasses were the Levi's CO2 53/17 (I think). The frame was speckled brown/black (couldn't find the style name for it) and these were my very first pair of prescription glasses. I had gotten them about three years ago. The Levi's glasses were not as fitting as my current glasses are and were not being held up by the silicone nose pads the Ray-Bans have which allows the glasses to stay put and not slide down your nose. And as for the lenses, I actually don't see that big of a difference. The only difference between my Levi's lenses and these lenses that I can see is that the new lenses are clearer but in saying that, I did have to change my prescription.
How I came across this particular brow-line style of glasses was when I was browsing through the internet looking for a new pair of glasses when I came across this random quiz: http://www.zennioptical.com/glasses-quiz I ended up getting Brow-line. If you're curious on what frames are 'suited' to you there's no harm in taking these types of quizzes. After all, they're just for fun. You never know what you might end up choosing.
Overall, if you're trendy and are into fashion and aesthetics, I suggest you consider these glasses. These glasses will make you look stylish and modern yet the simplicity will perfectly match any outfit.
